Christina Dean is a sustainable fashion advocate who founded Redress, the leading Asian NGO working to promote sustainability in the fashion industry, in 2007. She then went on to develop what is now the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition for emerging fashion designers, called The EcoChic Design Award. When not catalysing changes in industry and consumer perception towards sustainable fashion, Christina is a regular speaker at seminars and she contributes opinion pieces to a wide range of media. She has co-authored upcoming consumer guide, Dress [with] Sense, and is presenter of Frontline Fashion, the TV documentary following sustainable designers determined to change the future of fashion.
Christina has received numerous recognitions, including Coco Eco’s ‘2010’s Most Influential Women in Green’ and by UK Vogue as one of the UK’s ‘Top 30 Inspirational Women’. Christina is based in Hong Kong where she divides her time between working and her three children. Previously, Christina was an award winning journalist and a practicing dentist.
