Lisa Odell is the founder and owner of Plastic-Free HK, a company dedicated to changing Hong Kong’s view of their plastic waste. Striving for greater levels of awareness regarding the damaging effects plastic has had on the world’s health and natural habitats, Lisa provides opportunities for change in several ways.
In 2016, she launched an online shop committed to selling plastic-free goods for the home and beyond, with the vision of offering a sustainable, waste-free alternative for every plastic product we use on a daily basis. Lisa wants to make sustainability and zero-waste living 100% possible!
In early 2017, Lisa also launched a petition aimed at the large supermarkets of HK, calling for a ban on all unnecessary and excessive use of plastic packaged produce. Currently, thousands of people have signed the petition and joined her in taking a stand against this damaging practice. As her business grows, she continues to offer information, education and ways to go from disposable to sustainable on her social media outlets, while planning to infect this city more and more with positive change towards waste-free living.
